Robotics for Every Child: New Jersey After-School Impact

In New Jersey, I saw how robotics access could vary wildly — even within the same community. Some students had kits at home; others had never touched a motor or circuit before. That’s why I co-designed and led after-school programs at YingHwa International School and beyond, tailoring unplugged and hands-on lessons to meet students where they were.

We worked with students from different ages, backgrounds, and languages — some loved the mechanical challenges, others the storytelling behind the code. The most rewarding part? Watching even the youngest kids light up when their project worked for the first time.
